final eyes

Privacy

Draft. This page will be replaced with our full privacy policy before launch. It summarises how Final Eyes works today.

Your files

Your file is read in your browser. Only its text is sent to be checked, or a picture for images and scanned PDFs. It goes over an encrypted connection to our server and on to our AI provider, Anthropic, which doesn’t train on it and deletes it within 30 days. Final Eyes doesn’t save your file, its text or the suggestions.

What we keep

Your account details (name and email), your team and its members, your plan, and a record of each check: when it ran, who ran it, the type of file, how many pages and how many suggestions, plus one-way fingerprints of the text it read (they can’t be turned back into the text). If your team adds house style rules, the list of words it chose. If you suggest a feature on the Ideas page, what you wrote and which ideas you voted for. If you cancel, the reason you chose from the list. Never the contents.

Free proofs

For the free proof without an account, we keep a random identifier in a cookie and a scrambled version of your network address, so each visitor gets one free proof. We never keep the address itself.

Who we work with

Sign-in by Clerk, payments by Paddle, hosting by Vercel, our database with Neon (in London), and AI checking by Anthropic. The full list, with what each one does, will be in the final policy.
